HireLogic vs HireHop: which fits your hire business?

HireHop is cloud hire software, and so is HireLogic — so this is not a cloud-versus-installed story. Here is how the two compare on what genuinely differs: pricing structure, the interface, who each is built for, and how much help you get going live.

In short

HireLogic and HireHop are both cloud hire software used in the browser. The differences are the interface, pricing structure and how much help you get: HireLogic is a modern web app, built hire-first for tool, plant and equipment hire, with guided onboarding — live in under 48 hours, training and support included. HireHop is a self-serve generalist with an events heritage.

The table below compares the two on pricing, the interface, fit and onboarding, and states plainly where they are alike. Every HireHop entry is taken from their own published pages and dated, so you can check it yourself. We deliberately do not compare feature lists — see how we sourced this, further down.

HireLogic vs HireHop, side by side

Ten rows. The right-hand column describes what HireHop publishes about itself on its own pages, not our view of their software — and where the two products are simply alike, the row says so.

Pricing: what is publishedEverything, on our pricing page: £99 a month for the base package including 2 users, £15 a month per extra user, £25 a month per optional module, and a one-off £250 website setup fee. Prices exclude VAT.HireHop publishes its prices too. Its UK site lists £46 a month for the first user and £23 a month for each extra user, charged in GBP and excluding VAT, with a free tier below and an Enterprise tier above. The dollar prices on its international site are, in its own words, a rough conversion of the GBP charges.
Pricing: how the packages are structuredA flat base package: £99 a month covers the system and 2 users, with accounting integrations included in the base package rather than sold as a paid module. Extras are optional modules at a published price.Per seat: every user beyond the first is a separate £23 monthly charge with customisable permissions. The free tier is explicitly limited — "Limited functionality", 1 user. Enterprise functionality sits in a separate tier priced on application, with no figure published as at 31 July 2026.
Pricing: cost at your team sizeThe flat base favours growing teams: £99 a month covers 2 users, so 6 users is £159 a month and 10 users is £219, before optional modules at £25 each.Per-seat pricing favours the smallest teams: at the published rates, 2 users is £69 a month, 6 users is £161 and 10 users is £253. All figures exclude VAT; their paid seats include their complete toolkit.
Pricing: commitmentMonthly, with no long-term contract — cancel any time.Their terms describe the access fee as a monthly or annual fee, and as at 31 July 2026 no minimum contract term was published on their pricing section or terms of use. A 20% UK VAT charge applies to UK purchases.
Fit: who each is built forIndependent hire businesses — tool hire shops, plant hire firms and equipment hire companies — and the counter and yard workflows that go with them.A generalist with an events heritage. HireHop says it was built by people who have worked in the industry it serves, for companies from micro to large. Its own sign-up form's industry list leads with event and production categories — A.V. and broadcast hire, lighting, staging, exhibition stands, marquees — before the tool, plant, access and vehicle groups.
Interface: look and feelBuilt as a modern web application — clean, uncluttered screens designed for the browser, made to be picked up without training.Their UK homepage promotes speed and describes its "familiar software looking interface" as what makes it easy and intuitive to use — familiarity with traditional software is its stated design language. The free tier means you can judge the look and feel for yourself.
Onboarding: getting startedGuided from the first conversation: a demo walked through with your own products and workflows, or start adding products and customers yourself and a member of the team follows up within 24 hours to finish onboarding. No obligation.Self-serve: a free sign-up with no card details, and the sign-up form asks for your industry so the software settings and documents are adapted to your company. Their homepage positions the product as having a very shallow learning curve — "up and running in hours rather than weeks".
Onboarding: training and supportIncluded in the monthly subscription with no hidden costs — training and support by phone, email or live chat, and HireLogic is live in under 48 hours for a straightforward product list.Email and telephone support are included, with the free tier carrying limited phone and email support. Training, implementation and mentoring are offered but priced on request: as at 31 July 2026 no training price or implementation timeline was published.
Onboarding: moving your data inWe give you an import template for products, work with your export in whatever format it arrives, and review it before anything is imported. Customer records can usually come straight from Xero or Sage through the accounting integration, and you can parallel-run your old system for a week or two before cutover.HireHop publishes free data import and migration from spreadsheets or your old software, with import templates provided — so long as, in their words, the data supplied is in a clean and importable format — plus open how-to guides and public API documentation with webhooks.
Deployment: where the software runsCloud, only. HireLogic runs in the browser, so you sign in from any device with an internet connection — office, trade counter, yard or van. There is nothing to install. The same: HireHop describes itself as "true cloud based", runs on any device with a web browser with nothing to install, is hosted on Amazon AWS, and publishes device-agnostic check-in and check-out with barcode, RFID or phone-camera scanning. Deployment is not a reason to pick either product.

Last verified: 31 July 2026. Every entry in the right-hand column was read on HireHop's own published pages — hirehop.com, hirehop.co.uk, its public sign-up form and its published documentation — on that date, and describes what they publish. Looking for a HireHop alternative? What usually matters

HireLogic is hire management software for independent hire businesses that want guided onboarding and support included in the subscription.

Both products are cloud software in the browser, and both publish their prices — so the usual first questions answer themselves, and the real choice comes down to four quieter ones: how the pricing is structured, what the interface feels like, who the product is shaped for, and how much help you get going live.

First, pricing structure. HireHop charges per seat: £46 a month for the first user, £23 for each extra one, with a free single-user tier below and an Enterprise tier priced on application above. HireLogic charges a flat £99 a month for the base package including 2 users, with extra users at £15 and optional modules at £25, and accounting integrations included in the base package. At the published rates the totals cross over at around six users — the table above sets out the figures — so put your own team size against both.

Second, the interface, which is where the two products feel most different. HireLogic is built as a modern web application: clean, uncluttered screens designed for the browser. HireHop's own UK homepage describes its "familiar software looking interface" as what makes it easy and intuitive to use — familiarity with traditional software is its stated design language. Which you prefer is a matter of taste, and both products will show you: HireHop through its free tier, HireLogic through a demo on your own products.

Third, fit. HireHop positions itself for hire companies of any size, and its sign-up form spans everything from A.V., broadcast and staging to tools, plant and skips. HireLogic is narrower on purpose: tool hire shops, plant hire firms and independent equipment hire businesses, with the counter and yard workflows that go with them.

Fourth, how much help you get. HireHop is self-serve — sign up free, import your data with their templates, and be, as their homepage puts it, "up and running in hours rather than weeks"; training and implementation are available but priced on request. HireLogic is guided: onboarding, training and support are included in the subscription, the system is live in under 48 hours for a straightforward product list, and your import is reviewed before anything is loaded.

Who HireHop are

The brand basics, from their own pages

HireHop Software Ltd is a UK company: its UK site lists a UK phone number, its prices are charged in GBP, and 20% UK VAT applies to UK purchases. It also operates country sites across Australia, South Africa, Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Japan, Portugal, Sweden and Slovakia, and the product ships with pre-set languages from Afrikaans to Swedish.

The product is cloud software for hire companies, and HireHop says it was built by people who have worked in the industry it serves, shaped by suggestions and feedback from its users. It positions itself for any size of company — from small and micro businesses that can grow into it, up to large companies.

Its heritage shows in its sign-up form: the industry list leads with event and production categories — musical instruments, A.V. hire, broadcast, lighting and special effects, staging, exhibition stands, marquees — before the tools, plant, access equipment, scaffolding and skip groups. That is a useful signal of where the product's centre of gravity lies; the list does extend to tools, plant and vehicle groups.

Where their own pages do not state something, this page does not either. HireHop publishes no founding year — third-party directories disagree with one another, so we leave it out. It publishes no customer or user counts, no minimum contract term, no training prices and no implementation timeline. That is the boundary of what their pages support, so this page stops there.

How we sourced this comparison

Last verified: 31 July 2026. Every claim about HireHop on this page came from HireHop's own websites — its UK and international homepages, features page, accounts-integration page, training page, terms of use, public sign-up form, how-to guides and API documentation — read on that date. No review sites, no directories, no inference.

We compare pricing structure, fit, the interface and onboarding, and state deployment parity in a single row. We do not put feature lists side by side, because HireHop's tiers differ — the free tier is explicitly limited, and the Enterprise tier advertises extra functionality without publishing what it includes or at what price — so a fair feature row would need to name the tier for every line, which is where comparisons of this kind usually stop being accurate.

The team-size figures are arithmetic on the two published price lists, nothing more: HireLogic at £99 a month including 2 users plus £15 per extra user, HireHop at its published £46 for the first user plus £23 per extra. Both exclude VAT, and the caveat sits with the figures: their paid seats include their complete toolkit, while HireLogic's optional modules are priced separately.

One thing we are deliberately clear about: HireHop is cloud software, in the browser, hosted on AWS — just as HireLogic is. This page does not claim otherwise.

Everything in the HireLogic column is what we publish about ourselves elsewhere on this site: our pricing page for the figures, our onboarding and migration guidance for the timings and import process.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is HireHop cloud-based?

Yes. HireHop describes itself as "true cloud based", runs in the browser on any device with an internet connection, and is hosted and managed on Amazon AWS — there is nothing to install. HireLogic is cloud software too, so if you are choosing between the two, deployment is not the deciding factor; pricing structure, the interface, fit and onboarding are where they genuinely differ.

How much does HireHop cost compared with HireLogic?

HireLogic starts at £99 a month for the base package including 2 users, with extra users at £15 a month each and optional modules at £25 a month each, plus a one-off £250 website setup fee if you want the booking website. Monthly, no long-term contract, prices exclude VAT.

HireHop published the following when we last checked on 31 July 2026: a free tier limited to 1 user with limited functionality, £46 a month for the first user and £23 a month for each extra user — charged in GBP, excluding VAT — and an Enterprise tier priced on application. Its terms describe billing as monthly or annual, with no minimum term published.

Which is cheaper depends on team size. At the published rates a 2-user team is £69 a month on HireHop against £99 on HireLogic; by 6 users the totals cross over (£161 against £159), and at 10 users it is £253 against HireLogic's £219. Their paid seats include their complete toolkit, while HireLogic's optional modules are £25 a month each — so put your own team size and module needs against both price lists before you decide.

Does HireHop have a free version?

Yes. Their pricing table lists a free tier with limited functionality for 1 user, with no setup fees and no card details needed, carrying limited phone and email support. HireLogic does not have a free tier — we start with a demo on your own products, or you can start adding products and customers yourself and a member of the team follows up within 24 hours to finish onboarding.

Is HireHop only for event and AV hire?

No. Its sign-up form spans tools and plant hire, access equipment, scaffolding, skips and vehicle groups as well as the event and production categories it lists first, and HireHop positions itself for companies from micro to large. The distinction is emphasis rather than capability: HireHop is a broad generalist with an events heritage, while HireLogic is built specifically for tool, plant and equipment hire businesses and the counter and yard workflows that go with them.

Can I move my data from HireHop to HireLogic?

Yes. Products come in through an import template — we work with your export in whatever format it arrives and review it before anything is loaded, which is where mapping problems get caught. Customer records can usually be pulled straight from Xero or Sage through the accounting integration rather than exported and cleaned separately. Historic transactions are rarely worth migrating in full; a clean start on accurate product and customer data is almost always the right call, with specific records handled selectively where compliance needs them.

We recommend parallel-running your existing system for a week or two before cutover, and our migration checklist walks through the order to do everything in.

Why does this page not compare features?

Because it could not do so fairly in a table. HireHop's tiers differ — the free tier is explicitly limited, and its Enterprise tier advertises extra functionality without publishing what it includes — so an accurate feature row would need to name the tier it applies to on every line. Pricing structure, fit, the interface and onboarding are the dimensions we can state precisely from their own published pages, so those are the only ones here.

How current is this comparison?

Every HireHop claim on this page was verified on their own published pages on 31 July 2026, which is the date shown under the table. Their pricing lives in a section of their homepage that can change at any time without notice, so we re-check before republishing. If you spot something out of date, tell us.

A table only takes you so far. The useful test is watching your own kit, your own rates and your own paperwork go through the system — and seeing the difference in look and feel for yourself.
